I have been working at YRC Freight full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Corporate Headquarters. Good health benefits. Senior management means well, but when conversations begin with "I'm not a racist, but..." you know you are about to hear something chilling.

    Cons

Diversity of thought, look, lifestyle, and culture is discouraged. New ideas and technology are threatening. Systems are not integrated and much work is done just to "keep on truckin" but never moving forward. No raises for years, and none in sight makes for a demotivated workforce. The morale is swirling in an abyss. No 401K match. Bullying and name calling is practiced at all levels.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Policies are outright discriminatory, going as far as to target minority populations and discourage inclusion. If you want a company that moves freight to move forward, you must be open to new ideas, new ways of doing things, and new ideas.
