Pros

Good for work and life balance. Flexible working hours and generally nice people. Good perk and benefit, informal and easy going environment

Cons

Company is lack of direction overall. Heavy middle management and lack of responsibilities of individual and team. Innovation and hardworking doesn't get rewarded as they used to be

    Pros

Yahoo is a decent place to work .. not the best place but manageable. I think there should improve further for ppl to grow.

    Cons

its political CEO is not that great and she is determined to make sure that the company suffers in the long run

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

yahoo leadership should start focussing on the work in hand and not to do some random things like what they are doing now

I have been working at Yahoo

    Pros

With some luck, it's possible to advance through the hierarchy of job positions in a company of this size

    Cons

Too many managers. People getting comfortable and not pushing their limits. Too many meetings. Too many emails

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There are too many manager. Give engineers your confidence and let them do their work, minus the unnecessary reports / meetings
