Yahoo – “Good luck Yahoo”
Pros
Lot of Energetic people around and there are very smart people and top management is some what too thrifty about some real needs of company. One thing I hate is hardware selection of the company where only cost matters rather than total cost of ownership.
Cons
Lot of Silos and not focused on one thing. There are projects which needs more structure and some of special interests needs to be managed properly. I think Yahoo needs more guidance for engineers and less management interference.
Advice to Senior Management
Yahoo need to make sure some middle management people are very political in nature and need to get rid of those politics for engineer to strive
