Pros

* Salary is comparably good
* Good parties
* Ok cafetaria
* Diverse work force
* easily accesible work location in CA

Cons

* Clueless management
* Inexperienced people
* Most skills learnt on an engineering job are not transferable. Platforms, tools, methodologies are home grown.

Advice to Senior Management

Get professional management. Stop promoting project managers, engineers without experience to management positions. Stop passing the buck around. Try to get things done.

So basically you helped create new platforms and tools rather than use existing ones. That sounds like a good experience for engineers dont you think?

Maybe you just the kinds that want to use existing stuff. If thats the case you should work for more traditional software companies.
