Pros

Free coffee, the cafe food is good and reasonably priced. Also, the Year End party is great. Smart co-workers. Hack Day rocks.

Cons

The recent layoffs seemed random (except when they seemed overtly malicious) and we lost some great people which reinforced the notion that Yahoo is no longer a place where if you work hard and do good work, you'll be rewarded.
The environment is passive-aggressive - if a co-worker doesn't like the request you made then they just ignore your email.

Advice to Senior Management

Senior management blew it by not taking the original deal to sell the company to Microsoft. Now we're stuck with a revenue sharing "opportunity" that will mean more layoffs and less technical challenges.
