I have been working at Yahoo full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good salary, good work, good co-workers. Small community town. University town with some very decent food joints.

Marissa is cool and taking bold steps to move the needle. Presently she has tail winds beneath her wings. Good for general morale. Good for stock but real revenues are not up to mark. Fixing that will take time. Hope that the board will have patience this time.

    Cons

Bad for career development good if you do not plan any progress. Bad if you only want to do your job good if you look nice to your manager. Bad managers who look like deer in headlights when technical questions come up good managers who lack courage to stand up to management. Bad if you raise Qs on management style, good if you can suck up to managers.

Some current employees will not fit in with evolving culture. Some are already trying to fake it till they make it.

    Corn fields everywhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire site manager with tech chops and a real backbone
