I worked at Yellow Pages Group

    Pros

    Fantastic people
    Easy going workplace
Fun (Managers make you Sundays and fun potlucks)
Easy job if you just do what you are asked of and make the calls to your customers
Fantastic benefits (RRSP matching is unreal, you can make up to $15,000 in three years for RRSPs for your retirement, and that is just what YPG gives you when you leave, can't spend till 55 but that is great)
    FUN MANAGEMENT

    Cons

    A lot of work
    A lot of cancels

I have been working at Yellow Pages Group

    Pros

    Training,
    working from home,
Most employees are friendly and willing to share information.
    good benefits
    flexable work schedule

    Cons

Periodic firings and steady turnover are common
Incompetent managers get promoted due to internal politics vs concrete proven capabilities
Poor at executing the strategy due to incompetent management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If employees are your most "important" asset, then YPG has to do better at consistently treating them as valuable. Marc Tellier is visionary... but not all managers are on board by virtue of their daily inconsistent actions. Some managers are allowed to do as they please and are not held accountable for results and for following the corporate values.
