20k base for sales. Too many office politics, limited growth opportunities

I have been working at Yodle full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Pretty young office vibe, you get constant training, good way to get your foot in the door if you want to be in sales.

    Cons

$20,000 base. That's real and you are more than welcome to see for yourself. Imagine going a few weeks without a sale. I was eating ham & cheese sandwiches for almost a month! Youre jammed. I accepted the job a year out of college and after speaking with other friends in sales I realize this base is cruel and just a way for them to work the crap out of you. 2 meetings every single day. So many random meetings the managers make us go to and they put your name on a white board and send a picture text of it to the vp. whole lot of office politics and gossip even with managers and you never know who to trust because of it. Company has potential and cool people but it has a lot of things it needs to correct like favoritism in the office

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be fair and realize that sales reps are people not machines. Higher base and back off sometimes

I worked at Yodle full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Good place to learn and grow if you are recently graduated

    Cons

    - Client service management is quite bad
    - Pay is way below the industry standard
    - New ideas for the product go nowhere
    - Benefits could be improved, no 401k?!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cultivate and INVEST in your client service employees otherwise they leave due to dissatisfaction.
