I worked at Yodlee

Pros

> good company for freshers to start
> compensation
> work environment

Cons

>lot of stress
>Support team works on outdated technology
>No career growth..developer, senior developer, lead ..all do same job

Advice to ManagementAdvice

manage resources better.. few jobs out there can be executed by freshers just out of college.. you don't need to hire senior engineers and pay them to get it done

    I worked at Yodlee

    Pros

    Good benefits package
    Good location
    Salary + bonus + stock options = decent compensation package
    Strong product offering
    11 years of data

    Cons

    Too proud of their core product - sitting on laurels
    C level execs too quick to please clients every whim and desire
    Inefficient development process creates turmoil, buggy product
    Lack of controls to deliver top shelf product, repeatedly, reliably - ask a client
    No clue of the value of the data they hold

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Leverage that 11 years of data by selling reports, research into buying/spending patterns
    Consider a top level shakeup to push out the old timers and get new, fresh minds in C-level suites (not all of them)
    Find a way to refine software lifecycle to make a solid, reliable, non-buggy product
    Make the software modular - way too much tweaking involved to make it work
    Hold clients feet to the fire on standards
    Learn to say no to the clients once in a while

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    I have been working at Yodlee

    Pros

    * Learning from the legacy
    * Opportunity to learn new technology
    * Freedom to do things
    * You play with management based on your criticality, totally informal.
    * Professionally managed

    Cons

    * Trying to act like a service company, while it's a product company
    * No fun a work place. It's totally dry.
    * No respect for Engineers
    * Management changes very frequently and anyone can become your Boss.
    * Management controls a lot, even the Engineering decisions.
    * Management lacks farsightedness

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Identify the talent and respect it. Try to control your ego and let people do the work they are hired for.
