I worked at Young Life full-time for more than 3 years

ProsWorking with adolescents is very fulfilling, especially in a religious context.

ConsUpper management is not listening to their staff's concerns, very poor retention.

Advice to Senior Management1. Listen to your staff and the needs they present. It's poor management and servant leadership.
2. Quit trying to limit staff's pay in order to essentially see if they're "really called to ministry or not..."
3. Start over with the Area Director job description--you've managed to allow it to become an animal.
