Pros

strong analytically, company values intelligent leaders who speak their mind. culture is great - recognition is very important. worldwide company, so relocation is possible if you are interested.

Cons

politics is the worst part at yum. navigating how to present an idea, how it will be received, the specifics words to use, who to pitch it to first, how to work behind the scenes, etc. just tiring after a while. company would be better served by being more direct - letting ideas and work stand for themselves.

Advice to Management

reduce bureaucracy, be intentional around developing talent, adopt a rotational approach to leadership development where people get short-term assignments in other groups to broaden their experience

    Pros

    - Strong work/life balance
    - career advancement opportunities for strong performers
    - great review/feedback process
    - recognition-driven culture

    Cons

    - big variance in talent levels between functions and brands
    - marketing processes and resources (especially in insights) should be elevated (not at same levels as CPG)

    Advice to Management

Company is consumer driven and therefore organization should focus more on building a world-class marketing organization much like leading CPGs, which would help it retain top marketing talent. The company has a great culture, but falls into some of the trappings of retail organizations, focused too much on daily sales rather than building strong and vibrant brands over time. Overall, the company's people-focused culture truly makes it unique.

    Pros

While working for YUM!, there were some great survey opportunities to taste test their food - had Pizza once a month to test the markets. The food was great, the people were nice enough, and the pay was great.

    Cons

Say one thing but do another. Odd behavior displayed when in a financial crunch. Was unlucky timing.

    Advice to Management

    Forecast accurately.
