    I have been working at ZOLL Medical

    Pros

    It's a great product which truly saves patients lives.

    Cons

    Lack of quality sales leadership. After 6 months, quota becomes unattainable. Quality control of product. Poor service support of product.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Leadership through fear creates temporary results. Focus needs to be on maintaining a sales team & improving quality control.

    Some very good co-workers run by unqualified group leaders and ego driven management.

    Pros

    Its important technology that makes a real difference in peoples lives.
    Some outstanding employees sprinkled in.

    Cons

    Temporary positions with undefined contract lengths resulting high employee turnover.
    Inadequate compensation , negligable raises.
    Group leaders with no experience in business and who are unable to even identify or provide the basic tools necessary to accomplish their teams jobs or provide adequate training or growth for employees. Group leaders who lack the ability to think creatively or to interact with other employees without conflict.
    Ego driven management who promote and support only friends and cannot identify and support the actual qualified individuals working under them.
    Training is nearly non-existent , and undervalued.
    How can you run a departmement if you never show your face there ? Or evaluate process and quality if you never step foot in the department you manage ? Or promote communication or cooperation between group leaders and managers if your not actually present where the department actually functions?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The company and management are making ALOT money for themselves. The employees are not , and they know it. Distributing bobbles to employees with Zolls record revenues inscribed on them while paying employees little , or stringing out temporary employess past their agreed terms is no way to the inspire employees or manage moral. Its destructive , short term thinking managment. Wouldn't you like to know what the majority employees think and say and talk about amongst themselves? Get some managers that the employees respect and who work amongst the operation, who spend time in the department they run , who value leadership qualities , who value communication and you might actually be surpised how much more effective your management can be.
