Pros

Insight on pharmaceutical industry.
Gained an idea of what it was like working in a pharmacy and dealing with patients

Cons

A fair amount of commute was involved.
It was on the other side of the city.

    Pros

    Most of the employees are very nice, and i loved my floor manager.

    Cons

    I was not trained properly and then i got in trouble on multiple occasions due to this. this eventually caused me to quit.

    I worked at Zellers part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Free uniform eliminates need to shop for clothes.
    You have an opportunity to earn HBC points for every Mastercard you sell. It's great for those who are sales driven.

    Cons

    Unlike working in the food industry (memorizing drink or food menu), working in a big department store like Zellers can be overwhelming due to the vast number of things available for sale. Each week, new items goes on sale and you would be more efficient at your job if you knew what was on sale.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Connect with employees more often either before or after shift. Allow enough face time to communicate goals to employees and give them a chance to share what they think . This will make part-time staff more motivated and satisfied than just coming and going for work.
