Pros

fairly good salary and benefits, some of the employees were great depending on who you chose to network with and others were only focused on themselves and didn't realize the impact of working together as a team to achieve more.

Cons

limited training, no interaction with management and very much a sink or swim type of organization

set goals and expectations with all employees, communicate often, support and nurture your team

    Pros

    Provides opportunities for global growth and movement between locations and functions.
    Diverse product lines and services to enable multiple views of the industry and variety of suppliers and customers.

    Cons

    Size and diversity led to lack of focus on a number of marginal businesses, and fuzzy strategies. May be difficult for some players to understand how their role contributes to overall success of company.

    I have been working at Zimmer full-time

    Pros

    The general staff at Zimmer Dental is very nice and is a good network

    Cons

    Most people turnover as this is a training ground for other larger and more stable businesses. The management team doesn't empower the people. They hire top talent for some higher positions and then don't let them have ownership for anything. Many people leave the organization and they don't back fill and make the little people do all the work for several other missing headcount. They can't make decisions and are the last to react to the competition. There is no internal promotion, no growth opportunities. It's a dead end job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Empower your people and let someone else make the decisions. Stop blowing smoke and pretending everything is fine.
