Pros

Great training programs for new hires and plenty of training opportunities.
Large banking presence in the State of Utah.
Many opportunities to advance.

Cons

Every month there's a new idea the bank is pushing out that will be forgotten within a year.
Base pay is low compared to competitors.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Scale back on the harebrained ideas and focus more on the basics of retail banking.

I have been working at Zions Bank full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule and hours, bank holidays, and competitive pay. I'm on a well-assembled team who really enjoy working together, that really makes all the difference. Extremely competent executive management.

    Cons

Health insurance is quite weak compared to other employers that I've worked for. Like most companies, there can be a good amount of political back-biting that goes on, but you just need to tell yourself to rise above it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage greater cohesiveness and collaboration within and between departments. Zions has some greater competitive advantages in its footprint that can lead to some great growth in the future.
