I have been working at Zipcar

    Pros

    -Feels like a family setting
-Management is very accommodating, nice and flexible
-Work load is easy (always doing personal things as there is not enough work to do)

    Cons

-the pay is not competitive even though it states it on our website
-no room for growth unless you want to move to a different city

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Our CEO makes $400,000 a year and just received a $34,00 raise with potential for a full bonus. They make us feel that they have no money to give us when we're doing a good job. We receive $.60 an hour raise per hour, which amounts to basically nothing.

    I worked at Zipcar

    Pros

It sounds cool, so people assume it's awesome.
The product is innovative, so people assume the company is.
    Green is a pretty color.

    Cons

They are afraid to try anything new. Everything must be done "the way it's always been done" even if that way is bad, outdated and lame.
They do not want to revolutionize anything and are terrified of change.
There is little to no room for advancement, which is why everyone leaves after 3 years at most.
Upper level management doesn't care about customers or employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make your internal values and corporate culture match how awesome the idea of car sharing is. Don't play it safe all the time. And treat people with respect!
