    I worked at Zozi

    Pros

Great staff! Positive people and young hip environment. Very casual and wearing jeans and t-shirt totally fine. Location in heart of Financial District and close to restaurants and other shops.

    Cons

Start-ups are known to be a little crazy but this one is disorganized. Management has constant changes without informing staff. Asked to go above and beyond your comfort level. Stress levels are high and there is extreme favoritism via management. You can accomplish a goal set by management but then be told you aren't doing a good enough job and need to work harder. Typical work week is 60 hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus more on company morale and keep staff informed on constant changes. Reward accomplished goals and skilled employees.

Work for a real company instead

I have been working at Zozi

    Pros

Casual dress code, good benefits, some smart people work here, cool product offerings, discounts on company offerings, collaborative environment, good exposure to many projects/areas.

    Cons

Horribly disorganized even by start-up standards, incompetent and often rude/disconnected management, favoritism is rampant, epitomizes the "me too" start-up model (Groupon clone regardless of how management spins it), pitifully archaic website and operations, low morale in the wake of hasty layoffs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more transparent about the company's direction and problems. More junior managers need to be more mature and the attitudes of some senior managers need to be more respectful. Additionally, really define how zozi will differentiate itself from the other deal sites. If the company is to move to more of a market rate one-stop shop, then bring it there!
