Pros

Smart people, giant market opportunity, great products that really work well, absolute marquis customers. All about execution at this point. One of the top companies expected to go public in 2015.

Cons

Historically was a technically driven culture - but as the company grows this is balancing out and sales, marketing and HR are coming into their own. Like any other mid-sized, fast growing firm, you need to be comfortable working in a fast changing environment.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the growth - it's such an exciting place to be.

    Pros

The culture is great. Very no nonsense, collaborative, and low maintenance. There is a solid leadership team in place to guide the company for some exciting long term potential. All leaders are very approachable and open to ideas. People are passionate about being innovators in a business. A small company where you're able to take ownership and be held accountable for your actions. There is so much going on that the days go by so fast! There are some really really smart people in this building and the knowledge spreads throughout all the organization. Company social events, onsite perks, and open cubicles brings the employees together.

    Cons

Very aggressive growth, maybe too fast. Worried that people may get lost in the mix as the company scales. PTO seems a little low compared to previous employers and no matching 401(k).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remain engaged & continue to value the talent of your workforce. People are the #1 game changers in the business. Be selective with who you bring on board and make sure to challenge those already on the teams. The valley is very competitive and it would be devastating to lose the knowledge & expertise to competitors.

    Pros

Technology is interesting but adoption is hit or miss. Enterprise customers are a good fit for the solution.

    Cons

Lack of direction, no sales leadership, POC process is so intrusive and forced upon prospects that they go silent. Mixed messages, is this a security play or a networking play. Every year they turn over the sales team and expect a different result

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sell the product to a company that can go to market.
