You want to like it 'cause it's Zumiez...

Second Assistant Manager (Current Employee)
Seattle, WA

ProsAwesome discounts, 50% off in house brands, other discounts depend on your position. You learn to really love your coworkers like family, and they do introduce you to the job in a way that makes you think you're going to love it.

ConsHave you ever been into a Zumiez and been so annoyed by their constant "customer service" that you didn't even want to shop anymore? Yeah, that's their company policy. You HAVE to do that, even if people obviously don't want to be talked to or helped. Believe it or not, it does happen. The compensation is horrible. As a second assistant I only make $10.50/hr, on the high end, as compared to other places that START their assistants at $14-15/hr. The company plays favorites, they expect you to drop your life and everything you're doing to work for Zumiez.... everyone is very hard to please. Every store has way too much merchandise in it and there isn't any formal training. This company is awful.
