Fast paced, tons of opportunity, plenty of chaos, high intensity.

I have been working at Zynga full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Tons of career opportunity. People growth through positions quickly, you don't have to wait much for an opportunity to open up. There are all kinds of business pressures that will push you to grow as fast as you possibly can.

Cons

Terrible place for people who can't manager their own work-life balance. Zynga will respect your balance but won't manage it for you; if you can't either, you'd better be looking to work a lot.

It's all right, but depends on which team you're on.

I have been working at Zynga full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Lots of perks
Hours are okay (depending on what team you're on/which manager you have)
Happy Hours with free beer/wine/pizza every Friday
No vacation/sick day policy, take as many days off as you need, up to 1-week per quarter.
Salary is great/on par with industry standard or higher

    Cons

Depending on which team you're on, there might be severely little creative freedom
Artists tend to get the short end of the stick for bonuses/recognition
HR is made up of cheerleaders that only care about each other and not employees
Witnessing thousands upon thousands of dollars wasted on frivolous things around the company.
Company is enormous; can make you feel more like a number than a human-being
Managers were promoted rapidly without proper training
Sometimes completely impossible to switch from one game team to another

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Currently, there are management-improvement meetings that you can go at your own will. Make it mandatory. Witnessing someone get screamed at in the middle of the office is highly unprofessional. Have HR members that don't roll their eyes at employees whenever they contact them for help.
