Laid back culture but needs some direction

Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee)
San Francisco, CA

I have been working at Zynga full-time for less than a year

ProsFree food: awesome food at the SF headquarters. Other satellite offices have food too but not even close to the HQ. They try to keep fresh fruit and juices everywhere.

flexibility (depending on the team): if you are in a team like I am in (infrastructure) and the manager is cool about it, you will have the flexibility to work out of where you want. It really helps

good benefits: Blue-cross-PPO or Kaiser, dental offered free for employees. free GYM at the SF HQ, frequent events with food&booze.

good bonuses every quarter... particularly if you are in the game studios and you game does well.

ConsLacks direction. redundant work done a lot of times in the team. Upper management lets that happen. and some teams are working on things with no strong leads who can make strong decisions. Can't say is this is a common trend, since i have been here for less than a year. But i heard that there is a lot of shuffling of resources between teams going on all the time.

No 401K matching.

6 weeks maternity leave, which is the shortest i have seen in companies.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Frenetic yes. But also a lot of fun!

Office Manager (Current Employee)
Seattle, WA

I have been working at Zynga full-time for more than a year

Pros: 1. A really great team of guys to work with every single day. They make work fun! 2. The "Perks" - e.g. daily catered… Cons: 1. No real "level up" opportunities (or recognition) for Admin staff, especially at our remote locations. Focus is 99% on Management, Devs and Engineers. 2.… Advice to Senior Management: More transparency, especially with the remote team folks who may not otherwise… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company… More

Amazing internship

Intern (Former Employee)
San Francisco, CA

I worked at Zynga as an intern for less than a year

Pros: Every amenity you would want in the headquarters, fully stocked kitchens and great meals. Managers are constantly… Cons: Some late nights trying to make deadlines, but most of… Advice to Senior Management: Keep on looking out for younger worker's career development. It's… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
