Not a place for a seasoned game designer to work

I have been working at Zynga full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The free food is nice. The people I worked with were genuinely friendly, very talented, and most are highly motivated.

    Cons

Web development culture has little understanding of game development. The company lacks agility and relies too much on the same formulas again and again. Little forward thought or drive to innovate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove Product Managers from the game design process. They should exist in an supervisory capacity, ensuring that profitability is addressed, but should not be making design decisions.
