I have been working at Zynga as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Great place to try new methods of recruiting. Stress but good kind of stress. Stress to achieve not micromanagement version of stress. Great people to work with. Everyone out to help one another. Don't need to watch your back. It's easy to recruit for a company doing super well. This company has its challenges and therefore makes you a better recruiter. Managers and engineers are very talented. They keep the bar high even during tough times which is good. New engineers are guaranteed a challenging work environment with lots to learn even if you're a senior recruiter or engineer.

    Cons

Contractors not treated like equal. Not a big deal but sometimes inhibits your ability to do a good job on behalf of the client. Company only hires recruiters as contract-to-hire which limits their ability to hire top recruiters.

I worked at Zynga as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Awesome perks. I didnt feel like going home because the environment is so good. Instead of taking random coffee breaks you can actually take legit awesome breaks which increases your daily productivity and you end up going home super satisfied with your progress while not being tired at all.

    Cons

Its very hard to point out the downsides of WORKING at Zynga. You may hate the games they make, or their business policies, but its definitely one of the best places to work at in the gaming industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The work needs to be distributed a little better. A common trend is that 80% of the work is done by 20% of the people. So you either end up working your brains out, or you have it pretty chill.
