Pros

- Great perks like gym, massages, haircuts, snacks, drinks, and meals. - Decent compensation. - Bring your dog to work. - Results-driven and fast-paced.

Cons

- Severely political to the point of hampering productivity and creativity. - Near-zero value for creativity, artistry, and innovation in products. - Too focused on metrics and numbers as opposed to creating meaningful user experiences. - Almost all projects are "fast follows" (copycats) of existing hits. - Terrible executive management.

Advice to Management

- Put more emphasis on creativity and innovation instead of just giving lip service. - Focus on a solid long-term vision for the company as opposed to following whatever is a currently a hit game to copy. - Stop policies that encourage political behavior among the workforce. - Value your artists, designers, and engineers just as much as PMs.

    Pros

There are a lot of talented people still at zynga, and some of them (not the majority, mind you) will help you learn how to be better at your job, whatever it is. You will have to seek these people out yourself, but if you do when you leave here your career will have benefitted substantially, even if your wallet hasn't.

    Cons

Morale is in a bad place (but... Is almost certain to be in for an upswing with the new CEO) and management is on a fairly long run of under execution and lack of a clear vision.

    Advice to Management

The green light process needs to work at least some of the time. Licensed IP is winning in mobile, why not find a partner for this?

    Pros

food is good lots of small events cool arcade DEPENDING ON THE TEAM: great culture/ expertise Not sure where to put this, but the company has lots of studios and you experience will most def vary based on which team you are placed on. Which I would say is good and bad. Central teams have a way better work life balance while game teams are more likely to crunch. HOWEVER Zynga is very FAIR when it comes to compensation, so if you do put in those extra hours you will be paid for it.

    Cons

going down hill fast lots of perks reduced hard to find red bull now DEPENDING ON TEAM: not so great culture/ expertise
