Pros

lots of bright minds, energy and fun place to work. The CEO is visionary, funny, and approachable.

Cons

the company has grown rapidly, but with that comes some challenges. There are many people who were good at their jobs who were promoted to people manager positions, but they didn't really have those management skills, and athena is fairly lacking in the training department. Although they describe themselves as a "teach and learn" environment, they really do poorly in onboarding and training new employees. I have heard many complaints from coworkers in both the sales and non-sales groups. So beware of that, you will pretty much have to figure out how to learn what you need to know. Also, expect to work many, many hours. There are a lot of Type A's who have no work/life balance and this is the norm in many departments, contrary to what you'll hear.

Advice to Management

Support and train your people managers so they can support and train their teams. I think you will realize better results and have less turnover if you can figure this out. Develop a better training plan for all employees, but especially new ones.

    Pros

-company culture is relaxed. -salary is good but the benefits aren't that great

    Cons

-no growth potential, most people are seen switching between different positions in different departments yearning for more development, but most times unsuccessful -there is a cookie-cutter mold of people they want in specific positions, many skillsets are underused-new talent is ignored. -very, very poor management-just watched a girl get fired with little warning and with complete disregard for the HR policies they boast about (action plans). There was a made-up reason about under performance-this brought down department morale and makes me scared for my own position.

    Advice to Management

Making significant decisions without consent of other managers and poor middle management will be the downfall of the company.
