Corporate career growth is not encouraged; training centralized to store level only.

I have been working at bebe stores

    Pros

    Great Culture
    Fabulous people in the "trenches"

    Cons

    No corporate growth
    Need better leadership

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is a difference between management and leadership. You can be a manager, but you may not be a good leader.

Good place for students to start out in the fashion industry, but no room for growth.

    I worked at bebe stores

    Pros

    good employee discount
decent base pay compared to competition
    fun and amiable coworkers
hours are fairly flexible as long as discussed with management first

    Cons

poor or miscommunication from corporate to store management
time off requested can be a pain because scheduling manager tends to "forget"
commissions plan changed and is a pain to deal with
unfair treatment towards certain sales associates
late hours due to people not cooperating and helping cleaning up the store

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop giving special treatment to certain associates who use that as leverage to steal sales and learn to make schedules and if you suddenly change someone's schedule, it would be nice to call them instead of them missing or being late to their shift and then accusing them of not looking at the schedule.
