Pros

Caxton was a great place. Everyone at the firm is someone you would be happy to know outside of the office. They have a great working environment and people are certainly rewarded or personal effort.

Cons

There really aren't many cons to speak of. I'd highly recommend working there if you had the chance. All in all a great place.

Advice to Management

If i had to wite something I'd say....sometimes changes happened quickly and without much notice which in turn caused people to feel uneasy. Given the current environment the industry is in, it’s happened all of the street but that doesn’t make it any better when you are going through it.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    Good compensation, espcially bonus money
Fair benefits, but HR generally unresponsive to requests
Easy work, many employees with little to do but engage in office politics

    Cons

Horrible managers who view employees as disposable assets
Internal strife in back office (Princeton)
Constant employee turnover, little chance for advancement
Old entrenched management who fail to adapt to change

    Advice to Management

Recognise need for change, and be more responsive to employees who are willing to make long-term commitment to company rather than simply laying off older, more experienced and expensive employees based only on cost considerations; Old, expensive and incompentent senior managers with nothing to do should be the first to be laid off, not the last.
