It started quickly, but the learning, growth and joy tapered off just as quickly.

I worked at comScore

Pros

wonderful, friendly coworkers; good opportunities to work with lots of research data collected from millions of global sources; very inexpensive healthcare premiums

Cons

very little growth opportunities for anyone hired in the past 3 years; 2 layoffs in the past 3 years; weak 401k matching (max of 1.5% of salary with 5 year vesting)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get expenses under control. 30% revenue is great, but expenses are growing much faster. Accept slower, smarter growth instead of spurts of fast growth followed by layoffs, hiring freezes, or salary reductions or freezes.

I have been working at comScore

    Pros

location, co-workers (easy place to make friends)

    Cons

you can be in the same job role for years and no one will care to promote or fire you...there's a wide level of accepted mediocrity here.

    little recognition for efforts
departments are segregrated and rarely interact with each other
no room for advancement if you're in a small group
Salary is sub par compared to responsibilities
Bad senior management with no leadership capacity
Managers need to develop their staff

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

recognize your peoples efforts, don't bring in new hires with higher salaries and titles for work others have done and are doing for less pay and recognition.
