Pros

The culture that management creates is a very comfortable and relaxed place. The mangement has always encouraged me to promote myself and therefore I have been promoted 3 times in less than 2 years.

Cons

There are always a lot of changes on the site, they are for the better, but its hard to keep up sometimes.

Advice to Management

None, I really enjoy working at eBay!!

    Pros

To find out why you shouldn't work for a large corporation in SV. eBay embodies the very worst aspects of a large corporation while promoting itself as somehow smaller, more intimate, more in touch with regular people. The company's party line and bottom line to not sync.

    Cons

Politics, business groups working in silos, a lack of understanding of how to evolve the business.

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting your own kind and find experts who understand the business... not just promoting the company line. Have the testicular fortitude to stop hiding behind the platform and make real, substantive changes to the user experience. Stop dreaming up promotional lines and then try to build the product after the fact.
