Pros

this is the biggest online auction site
great coworkers

Cons

moving away from the small business owners that made ebay what it is
now catering to the megasellers who don't care about customer service or even getting the item to the buyers

Advice to Senior Management

bring back the small business owners that made your site what it is
in the beginning, it wasn't the megasellers that populated ebay, it was the smaller sellers

I've had better luck with the big megasellers than with smaller sellers, almost every time. I hate to say it but it's true. As much as I dislike changes to the site and the way they do business, the bitter truth is that sellers brought it on themselves. You can't do hobby selling anymore. You have to be a pro or go somewhere else.

Pro seller ideel currently has 5 negs and 4 neutrals in 1 month out of 478 sales or 1 neg for every 95 sales....3 negs removed by eBay 2 of which we have screenshots for.......

Pro seller smartbargains has 19 negs and 10 neutrals in 1 month for 1009 sales or 1 neg for every 53 sales......

Pro seller shoplet currently has 19 negs and 12 neutrals in one month for 651 sales or 1 neg for every 34 sales......

eBay won't even tell anyone who their other diamond sellers are. With numbers like these I think I know why.

"We" defined by eBay as a small seller and publicly told by the pinks we were no longer wanted as sellers had a total of 5 negs in 10 YEARS of selling, along with being in the top 10 percent of sellers from the time the DSR's were first calculated to the time our last DSR rating was listed, and having a more then 50 percent repeat buyer status.....

I'll take a small seller over a diamond any day of the week month or year. That is why I don't buy on eBay any more. If I want something that these or any diamond sellers have I would rather go to a brick and mortar store where I can hold the item make sure it is what I want and that it works properly then purchase it and give business to my locale merchants. I would NEVER even consider doing business with someone who has as many bad feedbacks and (neg removals by eBay) as the pro sellers eBay is now looking for. Nuff said.

Pro sellers like ideel, smartbargains, and shoplet have more negs but they also have more transactions, and they probably don't have time to engage in the crap smaller sellers do like harassing buyers, refunding and relisting at a higher price, holding the item hostage until good feedback is given, refusing returns, etc. Some smaller sellers haven't come by their high feedback honestly. Feedback tells part of the story but not all. Doing business with bigger sellers is exactly that - BUSINESS - no personal drama. That is the cold hard truth from a buyer who's given up on most mom and pop sellers.

@...harassing buyers, refunding and relisting at a higher price, holding the item hostage until good feedback is given, refusing returns.....
About your pro sellers:
Your correct they don't harass buyers they just don't answer their emails.....

Refunding is a nightmare according to the negs given.....

Higher prices...look at the GM debacle on eBay. Their eBay prices average approx 2% higher then at brick and mortar dealerships ( see the analysts blogs).....That's why they flat lined across the country except for Ca.

holding the item hostage....No they don't do that they just say they don't have that, while they still have the item listed as active.....again check the feedback......

refusing returns....See refunding in feedback.....

If dealing with the pros has been a positive experience for you "good". As for us we been there done that and would NEVER buy from a pro on eBay, unless of course it is a Mom and Pop small seller who did in most every case go the extra yard....

But don't worry anon....you got your wish eBays going pro.
