I have been working at eshots

Pros

Some of the employees were fun to work with (non-management). Some people would be close and go out after work and socialize.

Cons

Awful leadership, each member of management will act like they care about the company and its employees; but behind closed doors they genuinely don't care. Constantly lied to about how much you were worth in the market. Well below-average salary, below average benefits. Very long hours for some departments. Claim innovation, but are in fact desperately lacking due to zero product leadership. Claim to be a tech company, yet doesn't know the difference from a web developer and a software developer.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees what they deserve. Get REAL product leadership and vision. Hire people for their talent and skills, not their ability to 'fit in'.

I worked at eshots full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1) Enthusiastic leadership that promotes employees to have a hand in shaping the future of the company.
    2) (Transparency) Quarterly meetings where department heads present honest evaluations of how their departments performed in the previous quarter.
    3) Relatively fun work atmosphere.

    Cons

    1) Below market salaries. Because of this, turnover is high, which means few of the low-level workers have much real experience.
    2) Crucial internal projects are never completed. Everything is held together with "bubble gum and duct tape" as it were, and requires more of the employees' time to make up for it.
    3) No training regime or materials.
    4) Lots of tight turnarounds! They could do with hiring a few more employees to help lighten the load, but in an effort to cut costs, more work gets dumped on employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Finish what you start, and hire one or two more people in each department.
