Pros

Great training, great support, state of the art tools, good benefits, nice ramp up structure for sales compensation. Great leads, and great strategy for growing the business organically.

Cons

It is a high volume work environment/industry, there is a LOT to learn, it takes a while to build up your book of business.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep innovating to stay ahead of the competition.

I have been working at freightquote.com full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Health care, 401k match, free coffee when the vendor remembers to keep it stocked

    Cons

Horrible turnover, churn & burn environment. Doubling and tripling workload, no annual pay increases. Management changes direction exact 180 every 6-12 month and then are perplexed and angered by employees who are frustrated and don't walk in blind unquestioning lock-step with their ever changing direction and mixed messages. Promotions are few, almost never posted internally, never seem merit based, but if you attended the same college or frat as as your manager, you might have a shot

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This "work harder, get used to it or find a new job" management philosophy will only get you so far and in the end probably not the results the top stakeholders are looking for. Find a strategic plan, communicate it and stick with it rather than this pilot project of the month, see if it sticks and if it fails blame the sales force and make them re-double their efforts.
