    Pros

    1) Most of the people you work with are really nice and you earn a friendship with them.

    2) What you are selling is fun - computer, televisions, furniture on our side - and it's easy to sell them if you know what the step up strategy is.

    Cons

    1) Sharks everywhere - stores run the P.O.I.N.T. system - and if you aren't on the carpet, someone will jump you and take a sale.

    2) Management is very friendly with a couple of associates and will go out of their way to help them but not others.

    3) If you walk away from a customer for a second, someone will run up, greet them, and pressure them to take a sale.

    4) The commission basis is terrible. You make more on bad no-name television then you do on good televisions. Performance plans are a joke.

    Advice to Management

    Stop just helping associates that are your friends and help other associates when they're trying to close a sale. Secondly, stop disappearing when something is needed from the cage. It doesn't help us out and infuriates the customer.
