Pros

Strong product offering and strategy in the marketplace; Very strong senior management; Some very talented individuals; Recognisable young culture; People joining will grow quickly; International organisation;

Cons

Some groups within the organisation can be seen as a clique; At times, the strong social aspect of working at hybris can become a negative if pushed on people too strongly; Salary levels not great compared to marketplace; Bonus scheme not as generous as it once was; Doesn't seem to be any strategy to offer career progression and growth; Sometimes management lack openess and don't listen enough; Lack of personal recognition of achievements as it tends to be played as team-effort;

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to employees more and show that you are listening through your actions; Some legacy employees from start-up days are not as impressive;

    I have been working at hybris Software full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    High-growth company with plenty of career opportunities. High quality staff, great product to work on/with, very friendly work environment. Everybody's dedicated to reach a common goal, basically no corporate back-stabbing and the like. Seasoned CEO leading a team of founders that have been dedicating more than 10 years of their lives to the company, and made it a great success. Family-friendly working conditions, but definitely not a place for whiners and complainers.

    Cons

    The usual woes of a company that is growing strongly: varying availability of office space, processes not always well defined, service departments sometimes struggling to keep up. No Silicon Valley-style perks. Overall however nothing serious to complain about if you know other places.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep it up.

    I have been working at hybris Software

    Pros

    New quality of hires is improving and maturing the organization.
    International opportunities across multiple verticals.
    Emphasis placed on physical work environment and improving office space.
    Merger with iCongo increased North American footprint.
    Opportunities in emerging markets.

    Cons

    Company focus is on increasing valuation of the organization - not necessarily improving the product or services.
    Compensation and benefits are quite low making it difficult to retain good people over time.
    Founding hybris employees are almost "cultish" in perspective and behavior - almost bullying.
    Not family friendly or diverse compared to other IT organizations of this size.
    Tension between North American and German management styles.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire from the outside.
    Purge old wood.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
