    I worked at iGATE

    Pros

    In the US they have a very nicely priced healthcare plan

    Cons

    They are contractors but they do not look after the best interest of the company that contracted them. What they look after is how to increase their revenue and will sacrifice work efficiency at the expense of the client. The so-called professionals that they field from outside of the US are sub par at best. Quality of work is consistently sub standard. Offshore resources are mostly new graduates and are learning on the job at the expense of the client. As a professional for many years, it was an embarassment to be associated with this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Review your projects much more closely. Do not simply rely on the paperwork that you are given. Conduct impromptu on-site audits.

    Pros

    They maintain strong relationships with their clients which allows for a better working environment when you are on a project.

    Cons

    The HR and lower level management are not properly trained in in-boarding processes or out-boarding processes making both steps extremely frustrating and time consuming. There was no formal training or coaching on how to use the systems that were required for pay and benefits.
