I worked at iRobot full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

If you get the chance of actually working with/interacting with the executive team you quickly realize how much they care about the company and those who work within it.

The majority of the "individual contributors" are some of the brightest, hard working and fun to be around people that I have ever had the pleasure of working along side with.

    Cons

Some groups/departments are great to work in/with, other groups I would tell people to avoid which explains the mixed reviews on here.

    Lack of opportunity to grow/advance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is a break down between the executive team and the "workers" somewhere in middle management that is preventing the company from being "great". Maybe more interaction between the executive team and the "individual contributors" would do some good. Make a point of having lunch with someone new once a week on the "lower end" of the workforce in an informal setting so folks can see how you really are and not the trickle down approach which isn't really working. (Very few people outside of middle management could even tell you where the CEO's office even is)
