Pros

Great place to get your foot in the door if you are looking to advance your career in pharma. It offers a good starting point if you have lack experience and can help you build connections within the industry.

Cons

Because you are a contract employee, your placement may look at you as less a member of the team and more a temporary solution. For the most part however, I have heard nothing but good things regarding team integration.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

You work under two sets of management so your experience will depend on both of those components.

    Pros

Flexible schedules, good location. The people are a bit younger, so the enviornment is a bit more upbeat than your tranditional corporate environment.

    Cons

Promotions are slim. People are not recognized for good work nor are skill sets utilized to their full potential. The organization as a whole is poorly managed and communication within the company and accross organizations is lacking.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some serious considerations needs to be given to employee development programs. There are a number of people in leadership, management and director positions that do not possess the skill set or the tools to effectivly lead the organization to the next level. A number of things will "fall through the cracks", good people are lost to other companies that will take care of thier employees rather than treating them like the chair they fill.
