Fun place, but not for high-achievers

Current Employee - Senior Dev in Tel Aviv-Yafo (Israel)

I have been working at ironSource full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great mix of fun people and a very relaxed hierarchy
Lots of marketing/sales types which makes lunch time and happy hour more interesting.
The company has all sorts of different projects/technologies going on at once
Great location in the Tel Aviv downtown
    The founders still code.

    Cons

As a dev, you are constantly under stuffed, and you only get to touch your own project.
    Everyone is on call 24/7
Many groups use horrible technologies. Even the core dev. Everything is quick and dirty
No options for most of the employees.
    Salaries are nothing special.
Devs are unlikely to be promoted, many managers are hired from the outside.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This place is great for average devs, and marketing types with no real skills.
It is pretty horrible for serious devs.
Some of this seems to be by design.
Think if this is a long term for the company.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
