I worked at zulily full-time for less than a year

Pros

No one breathing down your neck as long as you are working and not standing around. Worked in several departments and they are all pretty easy. Most of the managers are OK but not all of them. Scott (the Intellisource big boss) and Todd (Zulily big boss) are always watching but clearly care about business AND the employees, rare in my experience with warehouse management.

Cons

Overtime is frequent and most of the time we get little notice (Has caused some issues with my kids and husband). I have seen little opportunity for advancement but hear that the company is growing by leaps and bounds.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more to keep overtime minimal or at least make it voluntary.

    Stock could be woth something if it makes it.

    Cons

    I definitely should've read the reviews before I took a job at this place. Extremely clique oriented company. First level management totally ineffective. Turnover rate high.

    I worked at zulily as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

    Great coworkers, collaborative & fun environment (outside of department). Fast growing company, pay was on the low end, but always with the excuse that it is a start-up.

    Cons

    Not easily able to move within company, customer service department was often overworked and were contract employees with no real intent to covert people to FTE. Due to nature of their supply chain, many customers seem unaware of timeframe for receiving their goods. Incredibly stressful during holidays (to be expected, but effects on morale not really addressed by management).
