I have been working at En Pointe Technologies (More than a year)

    Pros

Not many. Company events are fun annually, they accommodate us very well. I'm a remote user so I cannot review how things are in the office. I CAN say they NEVER invited me to check out the HQ nor have I been to the main offices at any time since I've been employed here for the past year and a half... (but thats a ne

    Cons

As a remote user, working from home comes with a few needs. Having proper support and a large amount of communication from management. BOTH of these very important assets are non-existent. When I started, there wasn't a training program in place, nor was one created after voicing my concerns about not knowing the internal precesses. They had a phone "training" to go over internal applications but I couldn't understand the person presenting due to the VERY strong language barrier as they were located in Pakistan.

    Advice to Management

Communicate to your employees more constructively. I've never been given a goal and am now on a performance plan... how could i be "under performing" if I NEVER had a base line goal??? Also, don't lie to your employees. If you say a transition will be "business as usual", make sure it is. The company was recently purchased by PCM and thats what they told us. They have laid off a large percent of the company and it feels like they are pushing out sales executives now. Business as usual...

    Pros

Relaxed sales environment, not overly involved in your day to day work.

    Cons

They play around with your commissions. It's hard to get paid on your deals. Even when you have a signed contract they play around until you just get tired of it and leave.

    Pros

Lots of opportunities exist in space. Very accessible engineers and technical staff. Knowledgeable people in support roles such as product managers and licensing.

    Cons

Disjointed culture, the company is not on the same page. People don't care about the company per say, rather they act independently.

    Advice to Management

I would add more training and try to force the culture to where people were proud of working for En Pointe

    Pros

opportunity to grow if you are motivated, good salary. It is a fast passed environment, not a place to go if you want a 9 to 5 job

    Cons

If your not family your not in the inner circle which means that you can only advance so far. Family members are in positions they have no skill for.

    Advice to Management

stop putting family in positions that don't belong in

    Pros

    # Company has opportunity with their landscape, but needs guidance # Some good people work here

    Cons

    # Personally know that most of the positive reviews on here are created by HR. THEY ARE NOT REAL! # Services division is complete chaos # Executive leadership will lie to people to hire them, once hired the roles and responsibilities quickly changes # Treat consultants like commodities. Exec leadership does not care about their career progression or personal life at all. # Terrible benefits AKA zero benefits- Read them closely!

    Advice to Management

Its not all about the numbers. Treat people right and the numbers will come!

I have been working at En Pointe Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My manager is a really great person who has my back. The company is entrepreneurial so you have to be a self starter. That's great if you work hard without supervision but can be hard on those that don't want to work and give their best. They reward hard with praise and $$$. The manager do expect you to have a life outside of work. They do give time off if you need it. They don't micromanage but you must add value.

    Cons

Turn over rate could be lower and they have a lot of products to sell which can get confusing. Communication between departments is sometimes difficult.

    Advice to Management

    Everyone could use more training.

I worked at En Pointe Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

MY manager gave every employee the opportunity to learn new software and cross trained everyone. The office were I worked was family orientated everyone worked well with others.

    Cons

the company was owned overseas and we were never given raises of yearly reviews. Is as they treated the American people like the they do their own.

    Advice to Management

to the Upper management pay your employees what they deserve!

    Pros

With multiple solutions, it makes it easy to coordinate projects with other solutions.

Slow acting reps, takes longer to close a deal. They prefer to just be involved when it's time for the client to sign.

    Pros

    NOTHING. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing.

    Cons

Stains your resume by working for this company. For example, the CEO called out someone in the audience at the national sales conference (2014) by saying "xxx, please stand up, you should go walking with me next year (because he was over weight)"...yes, and that was in front of the ENTIRE SALES STAFF for the USA. Not only was the xxx candidate embarrassed but who treats employees like that? En Pointe...that's who. Jerks across the board and unless you sleep you way to the top or kiss up - you have no shot. They will never be a player in the east coast. Never have and never will.
