    Pros

    Cons

not competitive when it comes to matching market salaries and clearly assigning responsibilities between departments.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Pros include solid employee engagement and empowerment, a profitable and stable company (good growth prospects with only moderate volatility), a well situated midstream energy presence in a booming energy market, and great benefits compared to most other corporate employers.

    Cons

The US partnership (EEP) feels far more like a satellite office of the parent company Enbridge, Inc. (ENB) as opposed to a stand-alone fortune 500 entity itself. In the accounting function, staff levels are low, hours are long, and resources are hard to obtain from ENB.

    Advice to Management

Work-life balance is a notorious issue with the company. Addressing this issue could help a great deal in terms of employee recruitment and retention. I'd still recommend this company to other accountants, but to those that do not have young children or that do not consider work-life balance one of their top priorities.

    Pros

Very ethical company Very focussed on safety and security Excellent People practices Great vacation policy and work life balance Management style is very empowering. Business casual to business formal environment and dress code, depending on your role. You are not just an employee on a headcount, you become family.

    Cons

Not the best paymaster in the natural gas circuit in Houston. HR team has a lot of churning, constant temps and interns and very few old-timers. Not sure why.

    Pros

Enbridge Energy empowers their employees. Bonuses were very good each year as well. From an IT prospective they really go with good solutions that are technologically effective and very efficent and lower operational costs through the process. Management is always positive and gives lots of positive feedback. The level of respect each individual is given from supervisor and his supervisor is high. They are very flexible with schedules and family also excellent pension, timeoff and 9/80s Learned a lot technically.

    Cons

I felt underpaid for my level of expertise. Even with amazing reviews I was awarded very small raises (sub 3%) when the company had record profits.

    Advice to Management

They know how to run a business.

    Cons

Some of the departments are pretty strict about hours and time off. Kind of a good-ol'-boy type of place.

    Advice to Management

People respond well to being given trust and responsibility.
