I worked at Encore Nationwide full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

As an internal employee, it provided the opportunity to work directly with clients and gain experience coordinating projects. The company allowed you to see how the back end works and learn more about what clients look for and expect from their temp staff. Gained great experience troubleshooting issues regularly and learned how to work with different management styles.

    Cons

Management is very invasive in your personal life. They run an inconsistent program and base all of their decisions on how they emotionally feel in the present instead of objective reports and client feedback. Management does not keep track of employee successes and bullies anyone that suggests more efficient, professional, and effective ways of doing business. They impose unreasonable expectations with little reward, pay, or recognition.

If you are an independent contractor, you will be hired to work events however they will not send payment when originally stated. In most scenarios, it takes over 3 months to receive payment. That is, if it doesnt get "lost" in the mail. Money management is not the company's strong suit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put pride aside. Work objectively, not subjectively. Listen to your employees and take heed to what they say. Implement change. Put more emphasis on paying contracted staff in a timely manner. Stop trying to nickle and dime independent contractors. STOP BULLYING BRAND AMBASSADORS, PREVIOUS CLIENTS, and EMPLOYEES WHO SEEK TO HAVE A BETTER WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH ENCORE NATIONWIDE!

I worked at Encore Nationwide as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Decent Pay, fun events, and access to alot of free gear. Time usually goes by quickly depending on the promotion, but if you like interacting with people.

    Cons

Payment takes 2 months on average, virtually no events in the winter/late fall seasons. Scheduling miscues by staffing agents can cause you to clear out your schedule to only be told you are not needed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a way to pay quicker, like other promo companies out there.

I have been working at Encore Nationwide as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

this company did have good hours

    Cons

The challenge for me would be the 90days before compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advice would be: to make it a requirement of at Max 30 days from the time of the event. There is absolutely no reason why one should have to wait 3 whole months before payment.

    Cons

    I'll put them in management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Unsecured website has you giving your social security numbers. Sending .pdf files for training that say click link here to go for training.... links often don't work and require you to ask a manager where to go. Everything is setup online. They just hire you online no phone interview or anything. You don't get paid for a month after working 2 full weeks with no days off over and over again. Its just risky on so many levels. You might not get paid if you don't comply with their rules, not get paid for 2 weeks of work, but you won't find out for a month. Plus the whole unsecured website taking your social security number. Seems like a problem waiting to happen. Its a tech heavy company with a company that knows nothing about tech. No benefits despite working full time and beyond.

I worked at Encore Nationwide as a contractor

    Pros

Some events fun, many boring & hyped up more in email vs. actual event execution

    Cons

Takes many months to get paid. It got to the point where I just stopped accepting/applying any Encore job offers that came my way.

I have been working at Encore Nationwide as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

-Love Encore! I get booked for almost every event I apply for, been working for them for 3 years.
-They promote an big venues like Taste of Chicago and Lollapallooza - it's a fun time
-Easy-to-use booking calendar in the site - helps to stay organized

    Cons

-They used to pay much better for events when I first started, but in the last year it seems like hourly rate is the same for every event, and it could be better.
-Payment timing is pretty consistent - within 1 month for most events.
-Events are a bit seasonal, less work in the winter season.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be greedy with the pay - we all know you guys are making money off of the rates that you are not offering to the BA's!

I worked at Encore Nationwide as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    -fun events
-great way to get that brand ambassador "experience"
    -the staffing reps are nice

    Cons

    -takes forever to get paid
-lately, not that many events (at least in my market)
-I understand they have an internal rating system for the staff, so if you don't get booked despite having availability that might be why

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

some people refuse to work for them because of how long it takes to get paid, maybe consider paying faster
