    Pros

Exiting colleagues for the most part treated with respect, handling restructuring with a level of class, was a great place to work, future leaves uncertainty. New hires have tremendous opportunity to learn, gain experience and be very marketable to others as the culture is not healthy long term.

    Cons

Promote from within limited, multiple restructuring in the last 3 years, if business climate doesn't improve more is sure to come. High workloads, work/life balance is a challenge as competitive environment and focus on shareholders has led to a very lean operation. Leadership presence limited, stressful environment with pressure to meet stretch goals as an expectation.

    Advice to Management

Get back to a focus on colleagues, Morale is low, the culture/values at Sr. Leadership level may not have changed in their minds, however the workload/streamlining of operations has impacted colleagues views about the company, their commitment to be passionate, focused on a Keep Going Keep Challenging mentality that has been the core of the companies success.

    Pros

Some perks with free product coupons, wages are a bit better than usual by about 15% for type of work.

    Cons

Poorly managed, really unprofessional in how they handle their paying you-took over 6 weeks for my first check because they took that long to fix the issues with getting me set up in their payroll/timecard system. You are overworked and underpaid and when they need you to work more than 8 hours they tell you to lie on your paperwork and move the hours to the following day so they dont have to pay overtime yet this causes other issues so basically you lose out. Rather than pay milesage they will try to get you to carpool. Instead of doing resets you end up throwing alot of freight and hurting yourself.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention and audit how your managers are handling things out in the field with employees, dont expect your sales people to work 12 hour days and set unrealistic sales goals so that they sell in too much product which then gets returned end of season so that your field people get hurt trying to keep up. Pay attention to how many hours they really worked in a 24 hour period. Know whats going on in the field or dont be surprised when noone comes back the following year. I assumed Energizer would be an ethical company but its all about the bottom line and they do not care about their sales reps or merchandisers; at least in the market I was in.

    Pros

Management doesn't micromanage for the most part. Work hours are flexible. My department is able to work from home occasionally. Computer operating systems are well integrated and very capable. Computer software is kept updated. IT support is US based and top notch.

    Cons

Company is going through major changes with restructuring. Massive layoffs, mostly targeting long-term (older) employees. The employees left behind are getting dumped on with massive work loads.

    Advice to Management

Any advice would be too late now. It's a shame to see the negative changes this company is making. Used to be so employee-oriented, a family atmosphere. Now the almighty dollar is the only concern.

    Pros

The people who work in Asheboro are for the most part good people. Most people were nice and a lot of them had been working there for a lot of years.

    Cons

Way to much work put on one IT person in Asheboro for two plants. No training provided at all on Energizer policies and procedures. No one hardly ever has an answer to any questions you have. Their IT infrastructure has been very neglected over the last several years. They have critical systems in the plants running on 12 year old computers with a well known failure rate, and nothing to replace them with. No parts or anything. The pay is not on par with other companies with similar jobs.

    Advice to Management

One person should not be expected to do the job of three people. Honestly the job I had really needed at least 3 people to be able to get the work done.

    Pros

Good people but fewer of them every day as the company continues to restructure in an effort to create growth. There are many great, talented people here but the fire is going out for many of them.

    Cons

limited growth, unclear direction from leadership, constant upheaval as the result of successive rounds of restructuring. As opportunities have diminished politics have gotten uglier and the culture has changed for the worst.

    Advice to Management

clarify the goals and identify paths for career development, organic growth is needed - not restructuring to make the numbers

Used to be great place to work, but lots of changes over the past few years have made for low morale.

    Pros

Employees have the flexibility to work from home at times Management has open door policy Salaries are at or above market

    Cons

Recent emphasis on cost cutting and growth of stock price, less concern for value of employees, resulting on loss of good talent

    Advice to Management

Find some way to increase employee engagement, convince employees that the matter and the company is a good place to work
