    Pros

Great administration support and always pays on time. The best company I ever work for, I'm just sad the contracts slowed down.

    Cons

Contract job not a career gig.

    Advice to Management

Continue to stay true to your operators.

    Pros

I worked with a great team and learned so much from OJT. My supervisors were very helpful and answered my technical questions.

    Cons

They stopped matching on the 401K. When changes came down concerning our jobs, we would be the last to know, due to us being so far away from the Headquarters.

    Pros

    College location is very rewarding

    Cons

Salary and benefits were on the lean side compared to COMTEK (previous contract holder)

    Advice to Management

Reward your employees or continue to have high turnover

    Pros

I have a job. That is the best that I can say. As a government contractor, you have to learn to say little to the government even if it will improve efficiency.

    Cons

The company has a pitiful 401K, poor benefits, no raise, no real incentive program and when asked for a promotion to a position that had opened up was completely ignored.

    Advice to Management

Stop buying companies and invest in your employees. Encourage employees on government contracts to move up to different positions. Have an actual incentive program (make sure employees can see it in action). Give raises especially when meeting or exceeding expectations. Help employees invest in education to make them even more valuable to the company.

    Pros

The pay is really good and the Management team is outstanding. Great people that promote a friendly and less structured work environment. Not as rigid as other government contractors. You have the freedom to do your job without micro managers - as long as you do it well. This is a really great company to work for that has the vision to excel. The company took a leadership position with their business model and then in the industry consolidation process.

    Cons

Cons are Industry related. Everyone in the industry is cutting cost; especially, on overhead and recompete contracts. However, this is across the industry. Some people don't understand that everyone is doing this.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be thought leaders and care for your employees. You have done a great job!

    Pros

I have a job and that's good, right?

    Cons

Taking away matching 401K, no raise or bonus, poor leave benefits. Engility is focused on expanding and you're not included in the growth. Excuse for not receiving better benefits and a raise "we bought another company." Hard to believe when the transaction was all stock and no cash was used.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees that have worked hard for you. The Washington D.C. area is not cheap to live in and if your growth plan does not include your employees, you're not doing it right.

    Cons

    Pros

It is a job. You will receive some sort of low pay for your super long hours.

    Cons

    Low pay
    Terrible benefits
    Incompetent management
Long hours for no extra pay or time off

    Advice to Management

Start valuing your employees to cut down on the turn over. Decent health insurance would be nice. Paying for certifications would also be ok.

Your claim is that you are a low cost solution for clients but what is in it for employees? Low cost for clients translates to crappy pay and benefits for employees.
