Working for ENI

Senior Reservoir Engineer (Former Employee)
Milan (Italy)

I worked at Eni full-time for more than 3 years

ProsFlexible and tolerant management
Pay adequately international employees

Cons- Disorganized
- Not internationally opened, it is mostly an Italian company with little opportunities to grow for foreigners.
- It is not acting like an IOC but more like a public company. Local employees look like government employees
- People are stressed and not necessarily efficient
- There is no clear process in place to conduct business.
- Human resource management is non existent and not transparent even if it exists

Advice to Senior Management- Clearly defined job description and objectives to employees
- Implement and enforce a process for oilfiedl project management
- Properly train managers both technically and in soft skills
- Enforce english skills in order to operate in the oil industry
