I have been working at Ensco Offshore

    Pros

    International opportunities.
Contact with executive management. It is amazing how hands-on and approachable executive management is.
Company is bringing in new people to replace retiring workers.

    Cons

    Office politics and pinching pennies.
    Lean organization structure.
Management values employees with a finance background.
Pay is lower than the industry standard because the compensation manager is clueless.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit managing the company like a start up business. Start using business tools and technology to improve efficiency and to prepare the company for the future.
