I worked at Enstar Group full-time for more than a year

Pros – Interesting due to frequent projects
Generally good management
Good working atmonphere (for a Financial Services company!)

Cons – Frequent short deadlines
Sometimes a lack of consultation - announcements will be the first time you've heard of something
Upward flow of information (a lot of internal reporting required) but very little downwards

Advice to Senior Management – More frequent consultation with employees
Closer attention to employees skills development
More flexible benefits

I worked at Enstar Group

Pros – The office is kept in fantastic condition and staff are given a broad range of facilities; there is a gym within the building and an excellent shuttle bus to the station/town centre.

Cons – A fairly gossipy atmosphere; long working hours seem to have meant that employees do not have much of a work life balance, and as such will broadcast gossip round the office extremely quickly.

Advice to Senior Management – Encourage staff to leave the office at lunchtime! As it is not really walking distance from the town centre people tend to stay there all day, and I feel the atmosphere could be greatly improved if people took more of a break now and again.
