    Pros

It's one of the few places where I was treated with respect as a person and as an employee. Management really seemed to care about their people, and really engaged you in the day to day workings.

    Cons

Like most radio companies, change was a constant thing, and being laid off could happen more often than you would like.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Willing to teach and explain why things are done they way they are.

My internship originally started in the Promotions department and there were 5 interns and not enough work, so I ended up moving my internship to the Graphic Design department.

I have been working at Entercom

    Pros

The culture at Entercom embraces both the employee and the employee's family. Entercom acknowledges and rewards performance. There are excellent career opportunities within Entercom. From a compensation standpoint, Entercom is very competitive. Senior management is actively involved in market operations and is responsive to the needs of the markets.

    Cons

More micro-management than warranted at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lighten up a little. Recognize that the media world is changing rapidly and in order to recruit the best and brightest you need to redefine your organizational structure from that of a traditional media company to a new media enterprise.

    A rewarding internship experience.

Former Employee - Marketing and Promotions Intern in Sacramento, CA

I worked at Entercom as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

As an intern, I found that my supervisors and co-workers were more than willing to help, and guided me in the right direction in whatever I wanted to pursue within the company (production, marketing, sales, etc.).

    Cons

Internship was non-paid, for academic credit. You had to have completed at least one internship with them before being hired on.
