Pros
You work with really great and fun people. Hard work will be rewarded. Great benefits and days off after your first year. Upper management really is fantastic!
Cons
Poor work/life balance. You work 50 hours a week and regardless if you're an Assistant or Branch Manager you still have to be there 50 hours a week. The pay is decent only because obviously you work overtime. Having to follow strict dress codes when you sometimes have to wash cars.
Advice to Senior Management
Work/life balance. Working 50 hours a week, every other Saturday and a Sunday a month is a good way to run your employees to the ground.
Pros
Flexible schedules: is the only reason I am really still here. After 3 months you get one $90 incentive every month.
Cons
Managers don't care to learn your name. One manager is super cool though. The other is a corporate robot. You face the elements of weather. Pay is crappy at $8.00 with no raises. It's a extremely straight forward job. Cleaning out cars Alll day.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to not be so Corporate about it. Try to get pay increases for everyone.
Pros
- Always supportive of your future.
Cons
-Sometimes a log jam when it came to promoting up.
Advice to Senior Management
-Be more understanding of your staffs work/life balance.
Pros
Pay can eventually be decent if you can wait 3 or 4 years. Then it will most likely level off around $50K unless you are good at shmoozing your way to higher levels.
Cons
55 hours per week, with no overtime pay (once you become asst manager and higher). Dealing with rude customers and accounts that believe their business will make or break you, and not being able to stand up to them without repercussion from management. Dealing with scumbags who treat other people's property (your cars) like they are a dumpster/ashtray. Dealing with customers who talk down to you, and ask you what you are going to do when you get out of school (you are already out of school, and doing it)
Advice to Senior Management
Get out of the way. How about telling someone good job once in a while?
Pros
Good Pay!
Great Benefits!!
Great Management Training Program!!!
Cons
It all ends at the Branch. Once you pass the "Grill", it's all politics. If you don't kiss up, you won't move up. Pay is good on paper, but you earn every penny of it. Nothing like being a College Graduate and spending half your day picking up ungrateful customers and washing cars in a suit. Get in, make contacts and get out. Not a career company.
Advice to Senior Management
Pay attention to your employees and listen to what they have to say. They are the ones on the front line, not in a air conditioned office. If you want loyal employees, you must be loyal to them.
Pros
they promote from within; most employees are young, recent college graduates which provides a very fun work environment
Cons
55+ hours a week; only making $10/hr with a collee degree--WASHING CARS
Advice to Senior Management
completely overhaul the internship program and how the company views interns
