Advice to Senior Management
Stop favoring employees and stop treating everything like it is a college fraternity.
Pros
Good experience, fun co-workers, great health insurance/benefits
Cons
terrible hours, no work/life balance, regional/group management is very poor - they manage by fear
Advice to Senior Management
treat employees with respect, and not as children
Pros
You learn a lot about how business works. You get to gain a little bit of expirence in a lot of different areas. The people that you work with are usually a lot of fun. All of the promotions are done from within the company.
Cons
It is a retail position so the hours aren't the greatest. The work life balance is not the number 1 thing on the minds of management. There is too much emphasis put on raw numbers no matter how those numbers are achieved.
Advice to Senior Management
Get back in touch with the mission statement. Income and growth should not supercede how customers and employees are treated.
Pros
Rental discounts
Learn the whole aspect of the business
Cons
Having to deal with picky customers
Promotions are solely based on sales
Picking/dropping off customers
Advice to Senior Management
Make promotions based on how you can run a branch as whole instead of just based on sales.
Pros
Benefits were great, dental medical vision and 401k. Co-workers as in assitant managers and other trainees were outstanding to work with. You learn how to deal with all types of customers
Cons
You have to work 48 hour weeks and make a little salary. If they tell you they're promoting you to the airport, well you're doomed. They avoid giving you your vacation as much as possible
Advice to Senior Management
Pay employees more money because it is tough work. Add better commissions if you hit your sales each month. Upper Management needs to listen to assistant managers and trainees more.
Pros
You make pretty good money while you are still in school
Cons
Washing cars in heels, long hours
Advice to Senior Management
Corporate offices should be more in touch with the branches
Pros
This is a very fun place to work. This is a pay per performance structured company. I would suggest this as a great job for any college grad. I wish I would have worked here in my mid 20's when I was able to live on a smaller salary.
Cons
Long hours. I think that the starting pay should be higher. It may be good pay for a college student who has never worked, but it was not enough pay for someone in their 30's who is used to making more money.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what you are doing. Enterprise is a fine tuned machine. I wish I could have afforded to stay on board with you guys.
Pros
the people. the happy hours
Cons
The customers, cleaning cars while wearing a suit, upper management. The hours, the pay, sales, the stress is almost unbearable.
Advice to Senior Management
The company is too negative towards its employees. Nothing is ever good enough. Your employees work hard for you, but you seem to lack basic respect for them. The stress caused by this job has made a number of employees seek medical help and medication.
Pros
Good training program
Fun Staff
The good thing about the company if you're a college grad is that the community you work with has a lot in common with you. The training given prepares you for any sales job.
Cons
Long Hours
Low Pay
The compensation for the education received in college is almost insulting. The hours are high and the chance at promotion after becoming a mangager drops quickly
Advice to Senior Management
The other reviews state it well enough
Pros
Lots of opp to sell.
Networking through customers to find a new job.
Cool people.
Cons
Retail hours.
Mundane work.
Inhumane treatment.
You really don't learn anything like the company promises.
Advice to Senior Management
Make a schedule that doesn't require people to stay at work till 1am and come back in at 6am the next morning.
